Differences between aluminum and iron flange

Two completely different materials made of flange. Roughly the following differences:

  • different than the heat capacity, aluminum, large specific heat capacity, the specific heat capacity of iron is relatively small.
  • different conductive properties, the conductivity of aluminum is stronger than iron.
  • aluminum thermal conductivity than iron.
  • aluminum melting point lower than iron. Therefore, aluminum flange can not be used in high temperature applications.
